The Susquehanna River first enters Pennsylvania in Susquehanna County.
Take Exit 230 off I-81 to follow the river along Route 171 or Route 1033.

Follow Route 92 North from Susquehanna Depot to reach the PA Fish & Boat Commission Boat Launch
 
Canoeing and Kayaking:
Float in the path of history down the North Branch of the Susquehanna River in the Northeastern section of the county. Here, in 1778, General James Clinton led a force of 1800 men from the headwaters of the Susquehanna River at Otsego Lake, NY, along the North Branch to join with Major General John Sullivan on Sullivan's March - a military campaign against the Iroquois nation.

Experts can challenge the white waters of the Upper Lackawanna River in Forest City.
Access the Upper Lackawanna from the newest Forest City Trail head, off Commerce Blvd. in Forest City Vision 2000 Industrial Park.

 
Mountain Biking:
Challenge yourself on the historic D &H Rails-Trail System that winds for 37 miles through eastern Susquehanna County. www.nepa-rails-trails.org

Skiing:

Snowmobiling:
The Susquehanna County Snowmobiler's Association is currently developing a trail system through landowner agreements and is working on a map.
